Licht/Lichtformer Jinbei Discovery 600 Lithium Porty: Test

Du bist die Bereicherung in diesem Thread. Auf Deine Empfehlung hin habe ich bei der Sammelbestellung die Jinbei K Boxen gekauft und bin restlos begeistert.

Und nun die Bedienungsanleitung, da kann ich mich meinem Vorredner nur anschließen...Vielen Dank!!!

Vielleicht kann einer der Mods die Bedienungsaleitung mal am Threadanfang oder sont irgendwo an einer wiederauffindbaren Stelle verlinken, damit man sie auch noch leicht findet, wenn hier im Thread seitenweise weitere Beiträge zum Discovery dazu gekommen sind ? - Hierfür schon mal danke!

schöne Bilder! Leistung war vermutlich auf Minimum gestellt bei den Blenden oder? Da hätte es dann rein vom Prinzip her auch ein Aufsteckblitz getan, aber mit dem hat man natürlich weniger Möglichkeiten bzgl. Lichtformern.

Bei den ersten 3 habe ich einen ND Filter eingesetzt .
Beim ersten Bild auf die Leistung auf fast max. da der Hauptkopf leider
etwas weiter wegstehen musste. (ca. 7-8 Meter)
Eingesetzt wurden beim ersten Bild zwei 50er beauty dish.
2+3 nur ein Kopf mit 50er.
bei der 4 von vorne der B Kopf mit 50er dish und von hinten der A Kopf
ohne reflektor mit max Leistung und aus weitere Entfernung.
Das 5 Meter Kabel aus der Bestellung hat sich gleich als sehr nützlich erwiesen.

Die Möglichkeit mit dem ND-Filter hatte ich ganz vergessen, was für eine Stärke hast du da benutzt?

Der Thread zur ersten Sammelbestellung wurde leider vom Forumsbetreiber geloescht; der zweite allg. Jinbei Sammelbestellungs-Thread beim deutschen Jinbei Haendler ist noch irgendwo im Angebots-Bereich (wurde dorthin verschoben).

Aber ich versteh nicht ganz, was Du vor hast. Bei "Koni" in NL zu bestellen ist ja kein Problem, dafuer muss man sich nicht ins Auto setzen.

Ich hab mir auf die Fahne geschrieben einen DC-600 zu kaufen. Da ich Ende Juni zur "Defqon One" in die Niederlande fahre, könnte ich bei Koni direkt vor Ort schauen & kaufen und aus Deutschland aus verschicken:
+ schneller Versand
+ günstiger Versand (?)

Ich war noch in der Annahme, dass Koni nur in NL alles auf Lager hat & die Versandkosten bei etwa dem doppelten liegen. Mag sein, dass ich mich nun irrte.

Aber ich sah auch eben, dass Foto-Morgen die Dinger im Angebot hat, auch nicht schlecht.

Hello there..first of all, i'm sorry for posting in English, because i don't speak the same language as you guys are. I am from Malaysia, greetings..and i have been reading this thread using Google Translate.. so please bear with me guys..

i have several questions about the Jinbei Discovery 600. I heard that it cannot take heavy modifiers such as the big octabox (150cm). Is it possible to have a speedring attached to it and mount the speedring to the stand to distribute the weight evenly instead of having the head mounted on the stand?

and also, is the DC600 a true 600ws as advertised or less than 600ws?maybe 400ws?

Hi there!

First, yes the Discover 600 hast true 600Ws (it is the smaller Jinbei battery flash Freelander 500 which has confsingly 400 Ws despite of its name).

Second, like all other Jinbeis (except the tiny "Delicacy" series) the Discovery heads have a cloned Bowens S-Type mount. I have not yet seen any offical weight limit with respect to the modifyers you can use. My personal limit is a 1,2m Jinbei "K" Octa-Box. However, the box is comparably heavy and deep because of its umbrella type mechanic. Most of the time I use a 90cm Octa or a 1m square box which work very well.

If you fit the modifier itself to the lightstand and thereby release the had from carrying the weight, there should be physically no limit regarding the size of softbox you can use.

thank you for your kind reply sir..well, that's the problem, i have no idea how to fit the modifier (speedrings) to the lightstand lol..maybe perhaps when i have it with me, i'll try and take a look..

by the way, anyone here use the discovery 600 with modifiers (softbox, beauty dish, octa) on a boom stand?particularly the Cheetah Boom Stand..i'm thinking of buying the boom..any feedbacks on it? thx!

Without any test I think it is a valid assumtion to say that DC-heads and boom stands should match very well since the head is very lightweight.

Wird auf jeden Fall umgebaut! Ich überlege noch ob es machbar ist die Blitzröhre von aussen verschiebbar zu machen. So etwas hatte meine alte Braun FS 1000, durch das Zoomen war jeder Lichtformer wesentlich vielseitiger!
Da diese Köpfchen ja fast hohl sind wäre ja Platz für eine Mechanik vorhanden.....

Vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen.
Ich habe ein Blitzkabel verschlampt und nun bei Foto-Morgen das Ersatz/Verlängerungskabel 5m bestellt.
An den Akku paaat der Stecker vom Kabel, an den Blitzkop nicht, da gleicher Durchmesser.
Wo kann ich nun so eine Kupplung zum selbst dranlöten/schrauben ehrbekommen.
Conrad habe ich schon erfolglos auf den Kopf gestellt.
