TZ3 Image Quality
---" Had an issue with the lens cover but lucky for me the store replace it and paid for shipping and so far that problem is gone.
My wife just had a baby shower and i just looked at the pictures from it. And they are all terrible except for maybe one. Terrible grain and noise and blurred people.
I usually try different modes when shooting. I used Intelligent Iso and Normal Picture modes when taking pictures. I have the anti shake set to 2. I have the Intelligent Iso limited to 400.
The environment was a medium lit house. Some with a bright window some not.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the best out of this camera?
Right now i just want to throw it out and go buy a Canon. Which i can not afford to do of course.
I went back through my pictures that i have takes with this camera and the one that i returned with the lens issue and then are all the same. Terrible noise.
I tried limiting the Normal Picture mode to iso 200 but in a medium lit room it is too dark. Have not tried to photo shop it yet but it is very dissapointing.
Can't afford a new one so how do i make this one take the best pictures?
Thanks for any help anyone has.
Q"---
---"I agree that the consumer digital cameras do not perform awesome indoors but my Canon PowerShot A70 that just died took a much better picture. I was excited about upgrading to a newer camera with better features but so far have been dissapointed.
I just couldn't belive how many blurry images i got in a well lit room. Brutal."---
---"It's one of the reasons I sold my TZ3! Although I don't take a lot of low light photos, when I did the TZ3 was more often than not a disappointment.
My Canon SD700 does way better for inside shots. My daughter who has absolutely no interest in photography except for snapshots, gets very fine inside photos with her inexpensive A570IS. Her camera is set to auto everything. Despite it's slow flash recycle time, I remain amazed when I see the quality out of this little camera. Of course, you don't get the versatile zoom of the TZ3"---
---"Yes i have the same problem with my TZ3,it takes terrible shots indoors and outdoors no matter what setting i have it at.But i have used photoshop with amazing results. It really improves the sharpness of my photos. But i like Gregs suggestion of different shutter speed,i will change the speed once i get my camera back(wife has gone os for 5 weeks, taken TZ3)."---
---"If you haven't played around with Exposure Compensation, or learned where best to lock focus and exposure in a scene, give them a try."---
---"I agree with getting poor image quality from my TZ3. I am very sorry I purchased it.
I have compared it to my Olympus 750UZ and the 750 out does it every time.
I have used most settings including Gail's and have had very little success.

(
I've had it about 6 months and plan on sending it back to Panasonic for them to check out."---
das hier klingt besonders nahc der perfekten automatik-kamera, mnitr der es einfacher ist, als mit allen anderen
---"I agree. The TZ3 is not the camera everybody was saying it was.
No I'm not an expert photographer, but I get better results from my old Olympus 750UZ. Why is this?
This camera has been to the gulf coast, the rockies,Florida and the Caribbean and I cannot say that I have gotten many picture's that I have been happy with.I have tried any and all setting's.It's just not worth the time if you have to shoot several tests to see if your going to get a good picture.
In today's camera world the average user should not have to stand on their head to get a good picture.
I bought the TZ3 for the wide angle & zoom. Again I say, I'm sorry I did.
I will not purchase Panasonic in future."---
und viele kommen zu dem gleichen schluss wie ich. keine gute automatik-kamera, aber mit einstellungen und nachbearbeitung kann man sehr schoene fotos mit ihr machen:
---"As i said earlier,i am getting unfocused photos with my TZ3 no matter what setting i used. But since i discovered photoshop and learnt (still learning)how to use unsharp mask i have seen a dramatic improvement to them til the point now that i am happy with almost every pic i take (thats i.q),i just got to improve my composition (cant blame the camera for that). To prove it just visit my photo album(link below) and check out the Stansbury pics, they were proccessed using photshop and imo are much better than the others in th album."---
