Also grundsätzlich, eine kleinere leichtere Kamera ist immer eine gute Idee. Leider kann man angesichts des Preises davon ausgehen, das sinnvolle Features wie HSS mal wieder flachfallen. Auch einen Klappbildschirm wird die Kamera wohl eher nicht haben, das hatte schon das Vorbild 100D nicht.I guess at that point this is not even a rumor anymore since Nikon mentioned it in their official financial results presentation - the company will release a new entry level DSLR that will most likely be positioned under the D30xx line (probably it will be called D10xx). Expect the announcement before the end of the year (could even be in the next few weeks, since we are entering "announcements time"). This should not be a big surprise because few months ago Canon announced the world's smallest DSLR camera - the EOS Rebel SL1 [...]
The interesting part is how Nikon will price this new camera - the SL1 body costs $649, the latest D3200 kit is currently priced at $546.95, while D3100 kit currently sells for $446.95 and a refurbished D3100 kit goes for $349. How good or cheap must the new camera be in order to make a difference?
I do not like the new strategy of "accelerate shifting newer products in the entry class of DSLR". Note that Nikon is not complaining about slow D4 or D800 sales - [...]
