i need info about the Cullmann 40190..

is a good head ?

i want to buy it for use on a benso c-298 flexpod...

this head is good for use canon 400mm 5.6 and sigma 100-300 ?

i need info about the Cullmann 40190..

There is a logo of one of Germany's renowned and respected photopraphic magazines "Foto Magazin" on that page, stating that the head has been tested by them - their test result says "very good" (I think the best result would be "Excellent")

I own it and use it with a Pentax K10D and some heavy lenses (total appr. 2kg), the head carries this without any flaws. The friction is strong enough.
It is a ball head and quite heavy, so please take the weight into account.
I am happy with it and I think the Cullmanns are the most inexpensive ball-heads with friction you can buy at the moment.

Hi Seb,

i`m not able to compare but i own the 40200 and it`s a great ball head.
It carries my 40D + 70-200 IS 2.8 and other stuff w/o any problems, even when using funny angles. It stops where i what it and does not really move after fixing it.
It`s quite heavy, great finish and well produced.
the screws do not scratch or damage the ball untill now, so it should last very long (mine is now aged 6month).

probably you`ll get it little cheaper than 160€... check the pricerobots

Hi,

Just to give you some more options for your ballhead - decision:

Have a closer look to the Mantona heads on ebay for just 50 euro. They are said to be good (comparable to Benro heads) and have a arca clamp included. The clamp itself is about 100 Euro if you buy the original one.

Or benro heads. they cost twice as much as the mantonas and seem to be the same thing...

many people tell me about Benro Kj who have a bad quality...

arca swiss , RRS , Markins ecc are the top...but Cullmann head are very different ??

Giottos or Arca Swiss head ?
