Ich würde gerne mal sammeln, was Ihr für Vorschläge habt, wie man die Firmware der K-3 noch weiter verbessern kann. Schreibt das hier einfach auf. ich habe unten schon mal einiges zusammengetragen.
Nach ein paar Tagen mach' ich dann aus dem gesammelten eine schicke Umfrage und wir können demokratisch klären, wo die Nachfrage am größten ist. Laut schreien heißt ja nicht gerade "wichtig".
Dafür gibts hier im Thread ein paar Rahmenbedingungen:

Dafür gibts hier im Thread ein paar Rahmenbedingungen:
- es geht nur um eine Weiterentwicklung jenseits des Standes des neuesten Modells, das ist die K-3, wo ja schon einige neue und alte Features ergänzt wurden. Es geht nicht um die Frage ob und was davon auch für ältere Modelle verfügbar gemacht wird.
- Es geht um Themen, die sich rein durch die Firmware umsetzen lassen. Nix mit zusätzlicher Hardware verbundenes.
- Schreibt bitte konkret auf, was in meiner Liste unten fehlt, sonst nichts. Weder sortiere ich für andere Dubletten aus, noch werde ich Links öffnen oder riesige copy-&paste Sachen auf Zusätze untersuchen.
- Versucht bitte keine allzu abseitigen Exotenwünsche, wie "ich will aber Belichtungsreihen mit 17 Fotos".
- So allgemeine Themen wie "macht den Quellcode einsehbar" oder "öffnet die API" lasse ich hier auch vor.
- Taking Pictures
- bring back the extended bracketing options from the K-5 series
- provide option to choose longest shutter time in AutoISO
- offer focus bracketing mode (n pictures, m size focus advance steps)
- offer aperture bracketing mode
- allow user to set longest shutter time when using slow sync flash mode (currently goes up without limits)
- option to have the built-in flash trigger wirelessly off camera flashes in PTTL HSS (not do HSS itself, but trigger the other one into HSS)
- support USB 3 wired tethering with allowing remote manual stepwise focus adjustments
- allow locking/unlocking the backside buttons by pressing "ok" button for 3 seconds
- allow spot metering centered on chosen AF point (maybe that works at K-3 already)
- live bulb mode (as with Olympus)
- allow reducing AF sensor areas to "spot" size (half linear dimensions)
- allow exposure bracketing with 7 pictures (now 5) and maxium 3 EV steps (now 2)
- allow direct selection of SD card to which data is written from info menu
- Video
- allow to set different compression levels/qualities for H.264 recording
- allow user to switch video SR between software SR and hardware SR (like K-5)
- allow user to choose between MJPEG and AVCHD
- allow focus peaking during video capture (not only before)
- allow microphone input level control during video (not only before)
- Playback
- bring back the two picture synopsis from the K-5I
- option to display RAW histogram instead of JPG histogram
- bring back underexposure clipping warning from K-5
- Settings
- provide option for user to calibrate electronic level if needed
- provide option to zoom in to focus point chosen not always middle of picture
- allow AF-Correction for Zoom lenses in 3 step (close/medium distances/far)
- allow Software-focus-limiter for macro lenses
- allow RAW/Fx button to toggle between two sets of User modes switchable from the mode dial (adding a second set U4, U5 and U6)
- allow option to have mirror up on 10sec timer just as it is on 2sec timer
- option to display chosen focus point as overlay to photo playback on display
- option to display timer in large on backside display for both self-timer modes, intervall shooting and exposure times beyond 1 sec
- option to extend maximum exposure time from 30 sec. to 30 minutes
- option to display ETTR headroom on backside display (that is how much more you could expose the correct exposed picture without clipping to white; this picture would then be overexposed but could be corrected in post processing; based on RAW histrogram)
- option to format both sd cards with one click (SD1, SD2, both)
- option to put ISO setting on any of the two control wheels in M mode if using an old K/M lens which does not allow aperture changes from the camera (ISO replaces aperture setting then)
- Custom functions
- allow user to switch AF drive between SDM and screwdrive for SDM lenses
- allow user to ignore automatic limitations on SR use (e.g. automatically turned off with self timer)
- allow user to switch off info intermediary menu step
- allow option to block shutter if SR is not ready yet
- allow non-open-aperture-metering with non-A-lenses, so that using them in Av-mode does not require pressing the green button any longer
- allow user to choose focus peaking color (now: white)
- allow user to activate AutoISO to take active SR into consideration (currently SR is ignored), best with user definable multipliers for 1/1,5/2/2,5/3 EV more tolerance on shutter speeds.
- option to allow saving three separate DNG files for an HDR instead of one combined
- option to allow choosing any shutter speed when in M mode with flash or flash trigger attached on hot shoe.
- allow connection of AF fine adjustment with User modes
