RED will normale Kamera bringen ?

This led me to asking some questions of the RED staff about their photo booth. Although subtle, it struck me that they were trying to make a statement with the setup. It turns out that I was not far off, because I was soon to receive an overseas phone call from RED's Paul Waterworth (formerly Hasselblad's Global Photographer Relations Manager). Paul would quickly confirm my suspicious that after dominating a large portion of the filmmaking industry, RED had their targets set on the quickly growing and changing photography and digital / print advertising fields.

Okay, das ist natürlich ganz extrem spannend. Was da wohl kommt ?

Etwa eine Kamera mit Multi-Mount ? Wo man dann Nikon, Canon, Minolta/Sony A, Sony E, Leica M etc etc parallel benutzen könnte ?

Oder eine Kamera mit 16,5 db Dynamik, wie sie für manche RED Kameras angegeben werden ? Und extremer Durchsatz ?

Eine Kamera mit 32 Megapixel und 16:9 Aspect Ratio (entspricht 8K und ließe sich dann prima mit hoher Qualität auf 4K mappen) ?

Naja, bis die die Kamera dann liefern werden koennen, ist die Konkurrenz auch schon weiter

Red braeuchte eher eine Antwort auf die 65mm Alexa.

Klingt für mich nach "viel vor". Und auf jeden Fall nach hoher Auflösung.

Bin mal gespannt ob es diesmal mehr als ein Gerücht bzw. Hochglanzbroschüre wird. Die RED 617, wer sich dran erinnert, hats ja auch nicht über den Papiertiger hinaus geschafft.

Nun ist an Sensoren, die höhere Dynamik können, auch nicht so viel neu. Kodak hatte ewig lange einen 9 MP quadratischen Sensor im Programm, der auf über 90 dB spezifiziert war. Wenn man noch hinzunimmt, dass bei dxo in der Regel 0.5 bis 1 Blenden mehr gemessen werden, als was der Hersteller des Sensors verpsricht, dann sind das 15.5 bis 16 Blenden.
