anywone knows these ballhead ?
i'm very interested for twe little two , the 30' and the 33'...
I can confirm that Photo Clam ball heads are the real deal. The boss of a Korean engineering company is also a camera nut, so decided to use the company's techknow to create a line of ball heads and plates. I'm not sure who talked him uot of calling them Merkins.

Where I'm from, they're imported and distributed by camerasdirect.com.au which lists and describes an extensive range of Photo Clams
I recently bought a Photo Clam PC-33NS ballhead along with a Feisol 3441S tripod as a travel kit. I also have a Feisol 3371 with a Markins M20 ballhead, and the Photo Clam quality level compares very well with the Markins, IMO. The fit & finish are first rate, and the head is very smooth in operation. All in all, I am very happy with this ballhead, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another Photo Clam product.
