To mount the grip to the camera, please follow the simple steps below:
1. Dry Run – perform the “dry run” as described so you’ll understand the position the grip should be in for final mounting:
· Leave the backing material on the VHB clear transfer tape – do not remove.
· Take the battery out of the camera and close the battery door. Remove the lens and replace it with the lens body cap.
· Remove OEM friction pad by lifting one end with fingernail and peeling it off of the camera. This will expose a shallow pocket with four slots and two holes. The friction pad can be reinstalled if needed or desired, so save it and stove in the safe place.
· Holding the camera in one hand, insert smaller (lower) machined boss on underside of the grip into further right slot (looking from the hot shoe side of the camera) with your other hand. Keep the grip on angle so you can see the space between the grip and camera. Once these is done, lower the grip onto the camera and gently slide it side to side and up and down until the larger machined boss on the underside of the grip engages with the other slot and the grip lies flat on the camera. Take the time and do it right. This is your mounting position of the grip. Repeat this step a few times so you are comfortable with the drill then remove the grip from the camera.
2. Use rubbing alcohol (not included) to remove any impurities and skin oils from the mounting surface area on the camera. Wipe dry. You can also use mild household detergent diluted with water to clean and degrease the mounting surface for the grip on the camera.
3. Peel the backing material from the adhesive tape. Try to avoid touching the sticky side with your fingers but don’t get paranoid about that.
4. Repeat the dry run routine starting at fourth paragraph. Once the grip sits flat on the camera, press it down firmly in several spots. For best results, keep pressing the grip from time to time in different spots to ensure a uniform bond. Always press straight down towards the camera body.
5. Your grip is now attached.
Anscheinend nutzt der "Grip" nur zwei der Stege für den "Halt" + Kleber. Gut gefällt mir der Satz: "Take the time and do it right."
