Features of CRT Nikkor

The CRT Nikkor is a relatively high resolution lens for display of data from oscilloscope or other CRT traces.
Transmission of P-11 phosphor traces is 95 percent; for P-20, 100 percent.
Aberrations are corrected at its standard magnification of 1/5X, and the lens is designed for use within a very narrow range around that magnification.
Within the 24x36 mm film, vignetting is insignificant in CRT reproduction applications.
It should be noted that at its standard magnification of 1/5X the nominal F1.2 speed of the lens is reduced to F1.4.
The CRT Nikkor has an extra-long, Leica-mount thread and is supplied with a jum nut.

This lens has 2 names.
One is Oscillo-Nikkor 55mm F1.2 in 1964.
Anoter is CRT Nikkor 55mm F1.2 renamed in 1970's. (Cathode-Ray Tube, CRT)
