Mehr Rauschen, bei ISO400 etwas, sehr sichtbar ab ISO800 aber schönere Farben, weniger CAs als die F31 und mehr Details bei ISO100/200!
Ein m.E. ganz passender Kommentar dazu ist dieser
Thanks for the comparison. I think people accept that the F31 shows less noise at high ISO. I understand why people are focussing on that for the comparison, but there are other aspects of image quality. In the outdoors sunflower image, the F50 shows more detail and the image is nice and clean (and personally I prefer the colour balance).
In the high ISO shots when pixel peeping the F31 has less noise, but the white balance seems more accurate from the F50 and the some of the images seem to have better dynamic range, giving a more pleasing image when printed or viewed smaller.
It's true that the goalposts have been moved - Fuji did that, but really the market forced them to. Does anyone really believe if they released a new 6MP camera now it would be a commercial success? So a wide-angle, IS-enabled F31 would be an awesome camera - but how many of the target market would know enough to realise that, and how many people would just reject it due to it having the lowest MP count on the shelves?
Given the constraints they were working to, Fuji have done a pretty decent job. High ISO images have more noise than the F31, but compared to the Sony W200 (also 12MP), they retain much more detail and could be cleaned up enough with noiseware or similar to make a decent print.
Yup, ISO 800 was definitely useable out of camera with the F31, but looks like it will need some clean up with the F50 and the final result won't be as good. Most of my photos will be ISO 100 with good lighting, so I'm still favouring the F50.
